ALLEGAN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SURVEY
Hello Parents and Caregivers,
The Allegan County Health Department is looking to understand if you are interested in getting your children vaccinated to prevent COVID-19. ACHD has developed a quick, anonymous survey that should take less than 10 minutes to fill out. The information collected will be used for planning mobile clinic sites and developing/sharing educational materials regarding the COVID-19 vaccines.
The FDA has authorized the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to prevent COVID-19 in individuals 16 years of age and older under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Pfizer has requested emergency approval of their vaccine for children ages 12 to 15 after a successful clinical trial. Moderna’s clinical trial for the same age group is currently underway. The expected timeline of when vaccines for children are likely to be authorized by the FDA is Summer 2021 for children ages 12 to 15 years old and Early 2022 for children ages 6 months and older.
Please complete the following survey for your child(ren). One survey can be completed for each family.
Yours in Health,
Allegan County Health Department

We are heading into testing season that will continue – for the most part – throughout the next few months with M-STEP for students in third through eighth grade (the eighth graders showed phenomenal grit and resilience taking the PSAT this week), NWEA MAPS for all students, as well as other math and reading assessments. For many students this creates extra anxiety. A great resource for families to read that helps reduce your child(ren)’s anxiety can be found HERE. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child(ren)’s teacher(s).

ATTENTION ALL BUS RIDERS

Beginning the week of March 22nd we will be taking many photos and videos around our campus to use for future marketing projects. If you wish your child not to be photographed individually or even as part of a group, please email email@example.com. In the email, please specify if an individual photo is not okay, but a group of students would be fine. Or if you’d prefer neither be taken.
PARK PASSPORTS ARE HERE!
We believe in the power of outdoor education. We have partnered with the Outdoor Discovery Center for three years now to help our teachers grow in their knowledge of outdoor education AND to grow curiosity, engagement, and care for the outdoors with every Inno kiddo! We’d love to pass that passion onto your family with a copy of the ODC Park Passport….a tool to help you explore a variety of amazing places in our area this spring and summer. We have printed one Park Passport and sent it home for every Innocademy family. You can also find an introductory video and digital copy on the ODC website in both English and Spanish: https://outdoordiscovery.org/park-passport/
