FUN AT IAC THIS WEEK…
While we wish we could be learning in person for the next several weeks, we choose to be grateful for the time to be together THIS week, as well as the opportunity to practice for our Remote Learning launch on November 30th.
Our third and fourth grade class enjoyed a good game of football Friday afternoon. We had a blast on our last day before moving to remote learning!
Hands on experiences help us solidify what we have learned in the classroom. We are so grateful for our partnership with the Outdoor Discovery Center. Learning about cultures is a great way to have understanding for others, and Thursday’s lesson also helped us see how others did not waste and misuse or pollute our beautiful land here in the Great Lakes Region. The middle school students played their games, stepped inside their homes, and explored their ways of life.
Ms Michelle’s Friends enjoyed a beautiful fall day experiencing life as pioneers. Last week we experienced life in an Indigenous Village and we’ll be comparing the two perspectives throughout this week. We love making connections between what we read in class and what we can experience in the world.
Mrs. Mead’s class works so hard all the time! Here was a particularly great day.
REMINDER – VIRTUAL PARENT MEETING ON MONDAY, NOV 23rd
We are looking forward to sharing out our detailed plans and schedules for Remote Learning at 5:00 pm on Monday, November 23rd (NOTE: Time has changed to 5:00 p.m.) . Please use THIS LINK TO JOIN THE MEETING.
Thanks to all of our families for filling out the Remote Learning Survey as this provides us such GREAT information as we make tiny adjustments to our learning plans; we had 70% of the families share with us. We look forward to sharing more on Monday, November 23rd at our 5:00 pm parent meeting.
BREAKFAST and LUNCH PICK UP
During remote learning, families can pick up breakfast and lunch for their children at the front of the Fennville Elementary School from 4:00 – 5:00. Because of next week’s holiday, food pick up will be on Tuesday, November 24h. Going forward, as of now, a week’s worth of food pick up will be every Thursday from 4:00 – 5:00 at the Fennville Elementary School.
The Fennville District Library has mifis available to checkout on a weekly basis. (The checkout duration can be extended.) All you need is a library card. If you don’t have a library card, they will be happy to help you get one. Please let Marty know if you need any help with contacting the library. In addition, internet access can be accessed in our school parking lot. Please reach out to Marty for the password if you’re interested in using it.

Bittersweet Ski Passes – Virtual and In Person Learners Can Both Take Part!
We are again offering Bittersweet Ski Passes for students (7 + years) and their families (extended families, too!) through Innocademy and iCademy Global.
Ski passes are a great opportunity for folks to purchase a pass ($22) that acts as a coupon throughout the season, reducing the prices on lift tickets, helmets, and rentals. The pass can be used, repeatedly, at any time throughout the ski season (please read the restrictions on timeframe and days), by the pass holder! ANYONE can be part of the ski club…student, parent, family friend.
If you are interested, please…
- Read through the attached information – INCLUDING COVID 19 policies
- Fill out the attached form for student and/or adult
- Secure in an envelope with payment (checks payable to BITTERSWEET SKI RESORT)
- Label envelope: BITTERSWEET SKI PASSES – LEISA LOBBEZOO
- Return to campus. If you would like to mail the forms and payment via US mail, that is great, too! Please use the information, below:
Leisa Lobbezoo iCademy Global, 8485 Homestead Drive, Zeeland, MI 49464
Once we receive the application and payment, there is usually about a 14 school day turn around for your information to be processed at Bittersweet and passes to be issued so please plan ahead. =)
Just in case you were wondering, “Hmmm…what does Bittersweet usually charge for lift tickets and rentals?”

WITH SKI CLUB PASSES ($22 each pass – every skier must have one to receive the discounts.)
