SICK CHILD? POSSIBLE COVID EXPOSURE? SHOULD THEY COME TO SCHOOL?
Walk through this super helpful INTERACTIVE FLOW CHART anytime you have a question about whether or not your child should attend school because they are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or have had a possible exposure.
As always, if your child is suffering from any of the symptoms, below, that are NOT related to seasonal allergies, they should be kept home until symptoms are no longer present without the use of medication.

COVID POSITIVE DIAGNOSIS?
In the event your child receives a positive COVID diagnosis, please make sure to contact us, immediately. We must continue to update the COVID transparency page on our website and be able to work with the health department in their contact tracing efforts.

YEARBOOKS
A note went home this week explaining the process for ordering yearbooks this year. If you’re interested in placing an order, please return the form with $10. Or, if you have any questions, please contact Ms. Reita . Delivery of yearbooks is expected at the end of May.
ASSESSMENTS
We are heading into testing season that will continue – for the most part – throughout the next few months with M-STEP for students in third through eighth grade (the eighth graders showed phenomenal grit and resilience taking the PSAT this week), NWEA MAPS for all students, as well as other math and reading assessments. For many students this creates extra anxiety. A great resource for families to read that helps reduce your child(ren)’s anxiety can be found HERE. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child(ren)’s teacher(s).

ATTENTION ALL BUS RIDERS
Please remind your child(ren) that it is unsafe to take items and toys out of your backpack while riding the bus. We ask that all bus riders keep everything in their backpacks while on the bus. In addition, all bus riders are required to wear a mask before entering the bus. Thank you!
PHOTO/VIDEO COLLECTION
Beginning the week of March 22nd we will be taking many photos and videos around our campus to use for future marketing projects. If you wish your child not to be photographed individually or even as part of a group, please email reita.jaseph@innocademy.com. In the email, please specify if an individual photo is not okay, but a group of students would be fine. Or if you’d prefer neither be taken.
PARK PASSPORT
With 12 NEW sites and all new questions, the 2021 Nature-rich Park Passport will guide you and your family to 16 local parks and natural areas where you can find forests, beaches, dunes, lakes, trails and more in our nature-rich community. Information was sent home with every student this week.
INNOCADEMY FAMILY CALENDAR FOR 21-22 SCHOOL YEAR
ATTENDANCE
As a reminder, attendance is taken twice each day by the teachers. We must report his is information to the State of Michigan. If your child will be absent from school, please email us at iac-attendance@innocademy.com. Students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 8:45.
In addition, if your child(ren) misses school because of a medical appointment, please have the doctor provide a note for our records.
SCHOOL-WIDE TITLE
Every year we have an open house or curriculum night where, among other things, we explain how our Title I funds are spent and what it means to be a School-Wide Title school.
