Transportation Services
Innocademy offers bus transportation to select community stops as a courtesy. We have no individual “home” pickup/drop-off. Riding the bus is a privilege for students and support for families. The bus routes and times are shared at the beginning of the school year.
A few things to remember:
- The bus will not wait for late families.
- Parents must be at the stop when the bus arrives to pick up/drop off the students.
- If a parent is not present at drop-off, the child will be taken back to school, and contact their family to pick up the child from there. The family may incur a cost for this service.
- We encourage families who use the same community stop to work together to provide pickup for each other’s child(ren) in case of an emergency. These written arrangements must be shared with the school in advance so the bus driver can release the child to another adult.
In the event there’s a day the bus isn’t running, we will make every effort to contact all families via our Facebook page and email as soon as possible. If our bus is not able to run, please make sure you have other arrangements to get your child(ren) to school. Please know that because our transportation is provided to families as a courtesy service, if a lack of bus transportation causes your child to be absent, their absence will be counted as unexcused.
The behavior rubric applies to bus time, as well as time in school. Student misbehavior will be reported to IAC staff, with a possibility of disciplinary action up to and including loss of the privilege of using bus transportation.
School App
We recommend parents and guardians download Class Dojo, the app we use for all of Innocademy Allegan. This platform is our primary way to keep you informed and connected, so sign-up to ensure you don’t miss out on important updates and announcements!
Meal Services
Families can always choose to bring meals from home (please remember to pack any necessary utensils!) or order from the school cafeteria. Fennville Public Schools Food Service is our meal provider. Students are offered different breakfast & lunch choices daily, and monthly menus are available to view online. Milk is also available.
